Introduction to Mindfulness

This 2-hour workshop will introduce you to the science and research behind mindfulness and provide the opportunity to try some techniques and learn how mindfulness may help you or someone you care about. The workshop will provide you with:

  • An understanding of what is mindfulness and why everyone is talking about it

  • How mindfulness can improve your health and wellbeing

  • The experience of participating in mindfulness practices including mindful breathing and awareness-building

  • An opportunity to develop a range of new or better ways to cope with the challenges and demands of everyday life unique to you

Mindfulness can assist you in developing a different relationship with issues that challenge you in your daily life. You will learn ways to develop your strength and inner resources, helping you to improve your life even when faced with stress, illness or pain.

Excellent introduction, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it has enabled me to start experiencing a sense of calmness and time for myself.
